Waxing

Waxing is a very convenient, longer-lasting and quick method of removing unwanted and unsightly body hair. Since waxing removes hair directly from the roots, most people don't need to worry about new hair growth for about 3-6 weeks.

Waxing can be used for removing hair from virtually any part of the body.

Our estheticians use high-quality formulas to provide gentle, precise hair removal treatments in a relaxing environment. For body waxing, a variety of treatments and techniques are used.

Our technicians make sure your bikini area is waxed specifically for your particular needs and desires. Whether you're preparing to bare all in a bikini, or you just prefer a hair-free lower body appearance, waxing removes hair in a way no other non-permanent method can. It leaves the skin clear of stubble and re-growth for weeks at a time. If you usually use a razor and are looking for smoother, longer-lasting results, waxing might be just the solution.

Large areas such as backs and upper legs are carefully waxed to ensure that every hair is removed for a smooth finish.

Eyebrow waxing:

A great set of eyebrows can really frame the eyes and give the face a real lift. A lot of people however do not know that to get a good arch you need to remove hair from the top of the brow and in some cases people need to cut some of their eyebrow hair rather than get rid of it entirely

Before your eyebrow waxing appointment:

  • You should come in with a reasonable amount of hair, as this will give your therapist something to work with.
    How we do eyebrow waxing
  • Discuss shape options-look at examples.
  • The therapist will powder well (use tissue).
  • Trim front of eyebrows on an angle towards the opposite inner eye.
  • Wax underpart of both eyebrows where the arch commences.
  • wax separately the front of the eyebrow
  • Massage soothing lotion into eyebrows.
    start shaping with tweezers.
  • Check shape! You're off!

Leg waxing:

Before your leg waxing appointment:

  • Ensure your hair is long enough to wax. Hair needs to grow out 1/4 inch (the wax needs hair to stick to). If the hair on your legs is too long, you can use an electric hair trimmer (like guys use to get their own buzz cuts).
  • Exfoliate legs to remove dead skin before two days. Don't do this right before the leg wax, because you run the risk of inflammation.

How we do leg waxing

  • Baby powder is applied to the skin. Baby powder removes oils helping the wax stick better to hair.
  • Wax is applied.
  • The therapist will work in small sections, applying wax in the direction of hair growth.
  • Calico is then pressed onto the wax and the strip is removed by, peeling it in the opposite direction of hair growth.
  • Afterwards a lotion is applied to soothe the skin. Ingrostopper is great for eliminating ingrown hairs!
  • Excess wax on skin is removed using body oil.

Bikini waxing: (X Wax)

Before your bikini waxing appointment:

If you are pregnant or have periods then avoid waxing during these days because the skin becomes more sensitive in these days.

  • To reduce your pain, take ibuprofen or aspirin one hour before waxing.
  • Trim your hair if they are too long (if they are too short then waxing is not possible).
  • Avoid swimming and the sun one day before biking waxing.
  • Exfoliate the day before of your waxing to remove any dead skin.
  • Wear old or easily washed underwear and choose a thong/skimpy pair of underwear.

How we do bikini waxing

Clean the pubic area with an antiseptic cleaner or pre wax lotion and then dry it well.

  • Spread talcum powder on that area.
  • Apply thin layer of warm wax in the direction of hair growth.
  • Put strip over the wax and wait for attachment.
  • Pull off the strip in opposite direction of hair growth.
  • Apply suitable antiseptic after-wax lotion to soothe the skin.

Male waxing - chest and back

Before your waxing appointment:

  • If you have diabetics, psoriasis or if you take Retinol or Accutane then avoid chest and back waxing.
  • After wax avoid all oil based products.
  • Take anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen one hour before waxing and also avoid caffeine.

How we do waxing

  • The area is cleansed with an antiseptic cleaner or pre wax lotion and allowed to dry.
